Bus Whisky Special 4 Russian Imperial Stout finish

Special #4 from Bus Whisky Distillers. Distilled in our beautiful copper kettle, this first single malt, single cask and single estate whiskey, after three years of aging in first fill bourbon barrels, has finished on a Bus Whisky bourbon barrel where our brewer has aged his stout beer and our master distiller then finished another bourbon whiskey.

The nose is a nice complexity of pepper, chocolate with underneath a note of almond and a hint of sweet apple. The taste melds pepper and chocolate harmoniously with the sweet apple, nutmeg and a hint of anise. It finishes on a distinct note of cereal. A slightly dry finish, where the pepper and bitter chocolate return. A touch of licorice finishes it off.
